Baseball Umpiring Classes
G.L.B.U.A. would like to welcome all new
candidates to our 2010 umpire classes. We wish you the very
best in your quest to become a member of the fastest growing
umpire association in the North Shore area.
Our primary purpose is to help you better understand the rules
of the game as well as the management of the game.
Fred Simm will be your class interpreter. He will, and has in the past, done an outstanding job of preparing our new candidates to become well-versed in the rules of baseball, and if, at any time, you have any questions he will be of service to you, or you can just see any other member. We are all here to help.

Bay
State Games Volunteers
To: Greater Lawrence Baseball Umpires
I would like to thank Jack Gilhooly, Fred Simm,
Dave Reilly, and Dan Clark.
These four umpires from the GLBUA volunteered their time
at the Bay State games on Tuesday July 7th, held at Bentley
College in Waltham. We had a great day as well, and I would
do it again. We had 2 great fun-filled action games. It
is always rewarding to be able to give back in any way one
can, and in these unstable times, what better way than to
give your time?
